Group: CV202B¹
Date: 19th of October 2007
Attendees: Margot vW, Anne G , Ida dK , Fardau P
Absentee: Hanneke vS
Secretary: Fardau P
Chair: Margot vW
Timing
The meeting discussed the practical utility of deadlines. Anne was a great supporter of strict deadlines. Margot and Ida totally disagreed with strict deadlines. A majority voted for flexible deadlines: When you’re missing a deadline for the first time there won’t be a problem but the second time there will be. Everybody is responsible for his own work and if there are any difficulties, you have to contact your colleagues.
Meetings
The next item was the meeting. In the past they were, according to Anne very chaotic and senseless. Margot and Ida had no problem with this manner of holding a meeting, so they we’re in agreement on that. Anne came up with strong arguments. At the end Margot and Ida agreed to have more well- organized meetings were everybody has to be straight to the point.
Minutes
The chair asked Margot and Ida what their opinion was about the minutes. Both were discontented about the minutes of every meeting. The minutes were to long with to many details said Margot. According to Ida it’s a waste of time to talk about details all day long. Anne agreed with them on that and they made an agreement about the reports: Write down only important things.
Hierarchy
After the minutes they discussed the hierarchy. Some countries behaved like they were project leaders of the whole team. Other countries didn’t like this bossy behavior. For the sake of clearness: There’s no project leader of the whole team. Everybody is the leader of his own country.
Actionplan
At last an actionplan. There will be a chairman at every meeting to get more structure : Anne and Fardau will take the minutes. If anyone has a problem or need some help, please contact the chairman.
